On Thursday I dissected the heart, lungs and kidney of a sheep. It was pretty interesting learning all the layers associated with each, and the names of the veins and arteries that connect to them, but I found something that the lab person said to be interesting.
"First year is all about making you learn what you have forgotten. You know all this stuff, you just don't know you know it"
And sure enough, when he told me what it was (either the arteries or veins going to the lungs or something like that) I remembered that I had learned it before.
I don't think what he said was completely true - I have learned things here that I had never knew before, but it was interesting nonetheless.

Student Cities' bad news choices
Everyday when I log in to resume my internet use with student city, they seem to have the most depressing news on the side bar. Everyday it's either about murder or law, but mostly about murders. Why can't they choose something happy to display on their front page? For those that don't know what I'm talking about, you can have a look at their website: http://www.studentcity.net.nz/
